What to Say When People Get Bad News
By Sarah K Peck of
Some relatable scenarios and very practical advice, which might be useful for you too.
I’ve been finding it somewhat hard to keep up with everything I want to read on Substack lately. When I do read the writers I love, or random articles that intrigue me, I find some absolute gems and remember why I love this platform and make time for this.
The more you read, I know it can be hard to curb those pesky thoughts of comparison. The older I get and, I think, the more ‘you do you’ the easier it is to bat them away quickly — imagine me, imagining a rounders/baseball bat for the foreseeable. How do you feel about reading a lot of other writers?
I’d love to hear a favourite piece you’ve read recently, or a Substack you’re loving!
Thank you, Jess! I look forward to reading your suggestions.
Ohmygoodness, thank you so much, Jess! I’m so grateful to be included in this round up, and I’m also super excited to discover so much great writing here that’s all new to me. What a gift!
